Online (free, gratis) photo resources that I follow and recommend:
- EOSzine, free monthly full color interactive magazine (Dutch) [comes via email]
- DIY photography, Great blog about cheap and resourceful photography skills [I follow their RSS feed]
- Canon rumors, I love following the latest about new gear coming [I follow their RSS feed]
- Digital Photo School, High quality tutorial [I follow their RSS feed]
- Flickr photo blog, Each day a selection of great photo on a particular topic [I follow their RSS feed]
- DPreview.com, Very broad photo news feed (not everything is interesting…) [I follow their RSS feed]
- Strobist, Flash adds another layer of possibilities (and complexity) to photography, great resource to get started [RSS feed]
- PhotoZone, Very technical DSLR camera en lens testing, buying a lens, check it out here first [RSS feed]
Many of these have the “how this was shot” section of a featured photograph which teaches me how I could take it.
I use the online Google new reader for my RSS feeds, give it a try if you are not using it yet. You may be hooked soon. Much more efficient then checking website occasionally.
